Let's Go To The Movies, Volume 1

Welcome to the ELM Images Blog! If you are reading this post its because you were intrigued to see the crazy cute classic movie posters my best friend and I recreated starring my three kids and her two boys for our annual family project.  This year was our 5th project together and it was insanely fun!

This classic movie poster project was by far the easiest to plan, but took a lot of work to put together. Like Oprah Winfrey and I always say, "love is in the details", and by golly this time there were a lot of details. After a few weeks of planning, shopping, sewing (thank you Janet aka Gran Jan!!), one wild and crazy photoshoot with the kids (5 kids, ages 4-9 years old) and a day or two of editing we found ourselves with some pretty outstanding images.

We love them all so much, like the kind of love that makes us teary because we love our kids and the memories that this experience gives our families.  We have talked about this idea for a few years and we can't believe we pulled it off. The results blew us away!

So, without further ado, in no particular order below are our recreated classic movie posters (Volume 1) including some outtakes, and extras, too!

Thank you for reading this blog and enjoy the images below!

"We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup."

"We're all pretty bizarre. Some of us are just better at hiding it, that's all."

"I'm the sensitive book-ish type..."

"The School of Rock. And we shall teach rock n roll to the world."

"Suppose you had to do something, you had to go someplace and do this thing that was, you knew it was very dangerous, but it was a matter of honor. And you had to prove it. What would you do?"

"Oh, do you feel the breeze from the subway. Isn't it delicious?"

Young Hillary: "Be sure to keep in touch C.C. ok?"

Young C.C.: "Well sure we're friends aren't we?"

"First you trade the Cadillac for a microphone, then

you lie to me about the band, and now you're gonna

put me right back in the joint!" ~ Jake

"They're not gonna catch us. We're on a mission from God!"

~ Elwood

"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"

"If we bring a little joy into your humdrum lives, it makes us feel as though our hard work ain't been in vain for nothin'. Bless you all."

"If you want to view paradise, simply look around and view it. Anything you want to, do it; want to change the world...

there's nothing to it."
