I’m Elizabeth Millen, Owner, Photographer, IT gal, Blogger, Artist, and Designer. You name it; I lovingly and willingly do it for my business Elizabeth Lee Millen Images. Most days, if I am not somewhere with my camera in hand photographing something or someone, you can find me sitting at my desk editing and obsessing over my latest photo project, or at a local café meeting with a client. When I am not busy working I can be found at home in Lockport, NY with my husband, Andy, our two daughters, Cecilia and Josephine, our son Elliott, and our cat, Audrey.
I've been told over the years by the couples and families I work with that I am pretty easy-going, creative and reliable. These things are always nice to hear, and are the qualities I would also want in a photographer for my own family.
It is important to me that as a client you feel special, comfortable and that we have fun together documenting your family or your event, because when those qualities are present it makes the results that much better. I am passionate, detail oriented and artistic with my approach to every project or session.
I photograph engaged couples, weddings, families, newborns, teens, high school seniors, and even a few pets here and there, too. I believe that every new situation is unique. I look forward to customizing each session or experience to perfectly fit what or whom I am photographing.
Over the years my husband Andy has become a very essential part of my business. ELM images has quickly become our business, not just mine. If you chose to work with me, it’s likely that Andy will be with me. For family sessions in the evenings he’s my assistant; he carries my gear, he shares his opinion on the location, the set-up, and the light we are working with. If we are photographing a wedding he can also be found with a camera in-hand. He shares the same love and passion for photography that I have and captures the most beautiful moments. For the past few years our “date nights” have been photographing a session and then grabbing little dinner out after. We love working together whenever possible.
As an artist I am inspired by the love, joy and connection that I am able to witness and photograph. My clients give me a gift of documenting their lives and in return I am able to deliver to them beautiful images from a moment in time that they can keep forever with heirloom quality fine art prints. I am thankful and lucky to be doing what I do for a living.
